National Youth Day 2026

National Youth Day 2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm, devotion, and patriotic fervour at Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Nivedita Vidyamandir, Hauz Khas, New Delhi, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and to inspire the young minds with his ideals of strength, character, and service.

The programme commenced with a classical dance performance by Aditi Porey, presented beautifully in Sanskrit. Her graceful movements and expressive presentation reflected the spiritual essence and philosophical depth associated with Swami Vivekananda’s teachings.

This was followed by an inspiring address by the Principal, Pravrajika Jnanaprana. In her speech, she highlighted the relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s message for today’s youth, encouraging students to develop self-confidence, discipline, and a spirit of service towards society and the nation.

Next, the audience witnessed a lively dance performance by Miraya Asati, melodiously supported by the singing of Kuhu and Pihu. The performance added vibrancy and youthful energy to the celebration.

The programme continued with the recitation of Swami Vivekananda’s powerful quotations by primary students. Their confident and clear presentation conveyed the timeless wisdom of Swami ji and left a deep impact on the listeners.

A soulful classical dance performance by Shriyadita Deb, set to a song sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy, mesmerised the audience. The performance beautifully blended devotion, rhythm, and emotion, paying tribute to the great visionary monk.

This was followed by an engaging narration by Dhawal Krishna, who shared an inspiring life incident of Swami Vivekananda. The narration highlighted Swami ji’s courage, compassion, and unwavering faith, motivating students to imbibe these noble qualities.

Another captivating moment of the programme was the classical dance by Joyta Dass on “Moorta Maheshwara”, sung by Ms. Mahasweta. The performance reflected deep devotion and artistic excellence, earning warm appreciation from all present.

The spirit of patriotism and youthful enthusiasm was further strengthened by the energetic song “Shourya Do, Veer Do”, sung by the primary students. Their enthusiastic rendition filled the atmosphere with pride and motivation.

A Youth Day procession by the students and staff of Nivedita Vidyamandir marked a significant highlight of the celebration. The procession symbolised unity, discipline, and the collective resolve to follow the ideals of Swami Vivekananda in thought and action.

The celebration concluded with refreshments, where all were served delicious gulab jamun along with juice, chocolates, and biscuits, adding warmth and joy to the occasion.

The National Youth Day 2026 celebration at Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Nivedita Vidyamandir was a meaningful and inspiring event that successfully instilled the values of courage, self-belief, and service among the students, truly reflecting the spirit of Swami Vivekananda.
