Report on Basant Panchami Celebration

Basant Panchami was celebrated with devotion and cultural fervour at Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Nivedita Vidyamandir, Hauz Khas, New Delhi. The programme began with a brief and inspiring address by the Principal, Pravrajika Jnanaprana, who highlighted the significance of Basant Panchami and the worship of Goddess Sarasvati as the embodiment of knowledge, wisdom, and creativity.
This was followed by a flower offering ceremony by the students and staff of NVM, expressing reverence and gratitude to the Goddess of learning. A graceful classical dance performance was presented by Joyta, beautifully accompanied by a devotional song praising Goddess Sarasvati, which captivated the audience.
The spiritual atmosphere was further enriched by a Sanskrit shloka and meditation mantra recitation by Dhawal Krishnaa, along with its meaning explained in simple Hindi for better understanding. Students of Grades IV and V participated enthusiastically in group chanting, filling the hall with devotion and harmony.
The celebration concluded with the distribution of prasad, marking the end of a serene and meaningful observance. The event helped instil cultural values, devotion, and respect for learning among the students.
