Report on Civil Defence Mock Drill (War and Air Strike Preparedness)

On May 7, 2025, a Civil Defence Mock Drill focusing on war and air strike preparedness was successfully conducted at Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Nivedita Vidyamandir, Hauz Khas.
The day began with a special address during the morning assembly by the Principal, Pravrajika Jnanaprana, where students were sensitized to the importance of civil defense awareness and briefed on the need to remain calm and alert during wartime emergencies. They were introduced to basic safety protocols such as identifying sirens, seeking cover, and following teacher instructions without panic.
Following this, a comprehensive training session for all teachers was conducted by civil defence personnel. Teachers were equipped with detailed guidelines on air strike safety measures, safe evacuation procedures, shelter-in-place strategies, and student protection responsibilities.
Once trained, the teachers carried out mock drills within their respective classrooms, playgrounds, corridors, and assembly zones. Students actively participated in the drill by practicing safe evacuation, taking cover in reinforced areas, and remaining composed throughout the exercise.
The drill was designed to:
Build awareness and confidence among students.
Strengthen crisis-handling capabilities among teaching staff.
Foster a culture of preparedness and cooperation within the school.
The entire exercise was executed with seriousness, discipline, and coordination.
